St George Illawarra fullback Matt Dufty is vowing not to give up over the remaining couple of weeks of the NRL.
After slipping out of the finals race with three straight losses, the Red V is looking to save face.
The Dragons tackle the Knights in Newcastle on Sunday before closing out a disappointing season against Melbourne at Kogarah.
Dufty said the team is focused on finishing the year on a positive note.
"Deano and all the coaching staff have worked really hard, they're here every day, they're early figuring out a program for us," Dufty said.
"It wouldn't be right for us to finish the season off early, we've still got two games left," he said.
"For me personally I love Deano as a person and as a coach, I wouldn't feel right with myself if I didn't give it one hundred per cent to finish the year off," Dufty said.
Bench hooker Billy Brittain is expected to miss out on selection when interim coach Dean Young names his side this afternoon for the game against the Knights.
Brittain is tipped to be rested after suffering his second head knock in three games during last weekend's loss to Canberra.
Trent Merrin is a chance of making his return from a hamstring problem.
