Wollongong Relay for Life will be celebrating 20 years this year however not in the way that was first thought. Cancer Council NSW and the Relay Committee are excited to announce that the event will go ahead with a new format to ensure COVID-19 restrictions are honoured.
The new “Relay Rounds” format will ensure that the community can still enjoy this moving event. To keep numbers within the recommended guidelines, teams will be allocated a specific time slot for which they can physically attend the event, with each round capped in accordance with the latest guidance and some elements of the event being held online.
Wollongong Relay For Life, which will take place on 17 October at Beaton Park, will have entertainment, food, kids activities, ceremonies and all the usual elements of Relay For Life but just on a smaller scale. As numbers are limited teams are encouraged to go online and register right here.
