Two new red-light speed cameras will replace the two existing fixed speed cameras on Memorial Drive to target speeding as well as red-light running at the intersections with Railway Street and Towradgi Road from Wednesday 24 June.
The existing fixed speed cameras on Memorial Drive will be switched off before the new red-light speed cameras commence operation and will then be removed. There will be no overlapping period of operation for the new and existing cameras.
Transport for NSW Deputy Secretary for Safety, Environment and Regulation Tara McCarthy said the new red-light speed cameras will improve safety for all road users.
