A home in Stanwell Park has been almost totally destroyed by fire early this morning.
Crews got the call just after 1am after the home on Sheridan Crescent went up in flames.
40 firefighters took around 90 minutes to bring it under control.
Two neighbouring properties suffered heat damage while no injuries were reported.
Luke Unsworth from Fire and Rescue NSW said one crew remains on scene.
"They're just monitoring for hotspots.
"As you can imagine the main house which has been on fire has been structurally compromised.
"The firefighters can't get in there and really extinguish all those hidden pockets of fire so they are standing by there at moment and firefighting operations will continue for a while during the day," he said.
Unsworth said Fire and Rescue NSW will work with the police to investigate the cause of the fire.
