The state government is set to announce the further easing of Coronavirus restrictions today.
Up to 20 guests are expected to be able to attend weddings while 50 people will be allowed at funerals and places of worship across New South Wales from Monday.
Everyone must maintain social distancing at indoor gatherings and there will be no sharing of books or passing of collection plates.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian admits because of health concerns some traditions will need to change.
"People will have to change things.
"For some religions and for some practices it means changing practices that have been around for two-thousand years.
"Things will have to be done differently," the Premier said.
The government is yet to reveal any details about when gyms can re-open.
Barrie Elvish from Fitness Australia said his organisation has released protocols to ensure safety when gyms are given the green light.
"To make it easy and give some surety and comfort to gym members to be able to return to their gyms when we eventually, hopefully soon get some sort of indication from the NSW government when we can reopen our gyms," he said.
