Tonnes of steel staging has arrived at Stuart Park ahead of Saturday's By the C concert headlined by ARIA hall of famers Cold Chisel.
The outdoor venue will continue to take shape over the coming days after trucks began unloading yesterday.
Chisel's being supported by a handful of acts including Birds of Tokyo and Busby Marou.
Frontman Jimmy Barnes is looking forward to bringing the band back to the Gong.
"We’ve only done four tours since the early 80’s so we need to make each of them count.
"We knew that if we were going to get the band back together for another full tour it would have to be something really special.
"We wanted great line-ups and unusual places so that people would remember these gigs for a long, long time," Barnes said.
Chisel are expected to hit the stage at Stuart Park around 8.45pm on Saturday night and play a two-hour set.
Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.
