Albion Park Rail bypass - Essential works

Road users are advised of changes to traffic conditions on the Princes Highway due to essential work on the Albion Park Rail bypass.

Work will be carried out at the intersection of Princes Highway, Woollybutt Drive and Nehme Avenue, Albion Park Rail from today till Thursday, and again from Wednesday the 29th till Friday 31. Planned traffic changes will include a partial road closure of Woollybutt Drive and temporary detour via the East West Link, other changed traffic conditions include lane closures on the Princes Highway, intermittent stop/slow traffic conditions and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h during work.

Work will be carried out at night between 7pm and 7am, weather permitting, to minimise impacts to motorists, electronic signs will be in place before and during these changes to advertise specific locations, dates and detour information in advance, motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and to follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Members of the community are also invited to attend an information session on Wednesday 15 January between 6pm and 8pm at the project training hub, 1914 Illawarra Highway, Albion Park Rail to speak with the project team.
