Charges over alleged shots fired in Nowra

A man has been charged following a 'public place shooting' in Nowra. 

At around 8.30pm on Sunday July 21, police stopped a white Ford Territory in Elizabeth Street Nowra, the passenger fled on foot, the dog unit found a man hiding under a house on the same street, he was searched and found to have three shotgun rounds. Police discovered he was linked to an 'altercation' outside a unit on Douglas Street, where a number of shots were allegedly fired, a 33 year old man was arrested yesterday and was charged with fire firearm in a public place and possess shortened firearm. He has been refused bail and is due to face Nowra Local Court on Monday September 16.
