The NSW Rural Fire Service says ‘Get Ready’ as local stations open for preparation advice this weekend.
With the early onset of the Bush Fire Danger Period, and major bush fires already burning in Northern NSW and SE Queensland, the NSW Rural Fire Service is urging people, to prepare for what is likely to be a long and protracted period of bush fires across NSW. NSW RFS Superintendent Greg Wardle is urging residents in the Illawarra to ‘Get Ready’ by ensuring that they discuss and finalise their bush fire survival plan with family and colleagues. You can find out which NSW RFS stations are open near you, by visiting the NSW RFS website right here.
