Important rehabilitation work will start next week on Windang Bridge to help protect the bridge from erosion.
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said the rehabilitation work will be carried out from August 19, and will involve placing rocks from a barge around the bridge piers, to help prevent further scour, improve safety, and reduce ongoing maintenance. The spokesperson says it will also ensure the bridge is safe and operational for motorists, and extend the life of the bridge, this work will be carried out at the north end of Windang Bridge and take around three months to complete. Work will be carried out on the waterway and in Fern Street, between 7am and 5pm between Monday and Friday, and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays.
