Investigation into exploitation follows Fairy Meadow crash

Immigration officials are investigating claims a trucking company is exploiting workers on student visas, after one of its trucks was involved in the crash at Fairy Meadow.

The vehicle, owned by Hari Om Transport, ploughed through the Maccas carpark, reports are a number of the company's drivers are allegedly 'student visa holders', working more hours than allowed.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton, says the enforcement section of the Australian Border Force will look into it:"If students are being exploited, workers being exploited, people doing the wrong thing, then that's likely to be their area of responsibility. So I've asked Australia Border Force to commence enquiries and they've done that."
