The St George Illawarra Dragons women's NRL team put their premiership hopes on the line tomorrow when they face the New Zealand Warriors in a must win clash at Homebush.
The Dragons kicked off their campaign with a heavy 30-4 loss to the Broncos.
St George Illawarra forward Kezie Apps said the team learnt a lot from the season opener.
"We need to control the ruck a lot more, we need to speed up our play the balls as well," Apps said.
The Dragons must beat the Warriors tomorrow to remain in the hunt for a spot in the final of the round robin competition.
"It's pretty much do or die this weekend so we've got it in our heads that we're going to win, that's half the battle.
"If we can grind it out, play some good footy and keep possession, control their middles and be victorious at the end of it," Apps said.
The Warriors beat the Roosters 10-4 last weekend to join Brisbane as round one winners.
The Roosters host the Broncos at the SFS this evening.
