The Knights have done their homework on Shellharbour City ahead of Sunday's Group 7 Rugby League Grand Final at Collegians Sports Complex.
Kiama were on the end of a 32-point hiding from the Sharks in the prelim final a fortnight ago and coach Matt Clarke said that won't happen again.
"We've just got to play a little bit smarter, complete our sets, get to our kick at the end of our sets and get into an arm wrestle," he said.
The coach said he has no problem with the Knights being underdogs.
"Definitely, they've been the best team all year, minor premiers and gave us a bit of a touch up a couple of weeks ago but we're definitely ready and can't wait for Sunday," Clarke said.
The Knights are buoyed by another opportunity to end a 33-year premiership drought after going down to the Superoos in the 2017 decider.
"The disappointment of last year sort of spurred them on in that game against Jamberoo last week and everyone wants a second chance at winning a grand final.
"1985, it's been a while, they went close last year, unfortunately they didn't get across the line, fingers crossed we can do it this year," Clarke said.
