The annual allocation from the Port Kembla Community Investment Fund is to be lifted this year from one to four-million dollars.
The fund was set up in 2016 with a million dollars to be set aside each year to support projects that would enhance and help build the community.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra GARETH WARD says it was decided to being the million dollar yearly allocation forward by three years, opening up 4-million dollars to the community.." applications open today and they'll close on the 19th of October. There'll be an information session next week on the 17th, so that community members can come and listen as to how they can get their share of this fund."
