Park forgetful on train debacle

Shadow Minister for the Illawarra RYAN PARK has been criticised for his poor memory when it comes to South Coast trains.

In parliament this week MR PARK again challenged Transport Minister ANDREW CONSTANCE to catch one of our trains and experience the chronic over-crowding for himself.

However Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra GARETH WARD says Mr PARK had a hand in creating the problem in the first place..." What was interesting about Mr Park's statement to the House is that he seemed to forget that he was actually the Director General of the Department of Transport that purchased the last sets of trains, and these sets only come in four car sets, you can't just add one carriage or two carriages because of the decision that Labor made last time they were in office.. and we're trying to rectify that."
