The Premier's Debating Challenge for Year Nine and Ten has been won by Wollongong's Smiths Hill High School.
The final was held at the Seymour Centre last Friday, with the team of TOM BELL-HANKS, LAURA CHARLTON, GEMMA HEYDAYATI and GRACE MAHON successfully arguing in the negative that non-violent offenders should never be sent to prison.
Support Teacher KERRY DOYLE says the team has been debating together since Year 7.
