A man has been taken to hospital following an accident in the Shoalhaven Tuesday morning.
About 9.35 emergency services were called to the intersection of the Princes Highway and Turpentine Road, Tomerong, following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest a Mack truck travelling east on Turpentine Road, and a Mercedes Benz convertible travelling south on the Princes Highway, collided at the intersection.
The 52-year-old male driver of the Mercedes was trapped for a short time before being released and then airlifted to St George Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
While the 23-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A crime scene was established and the Princes Highway was closed for a number of hours while investigations took place.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
