It's alleged an unemployed father-of-three from Calderwood heads up a criminal network bringing drugs into Australia.
FADI EL JAMAL, otherwise known as JOE OSMAN is unemployed, but drives a Mercedes.. and was taken into custody in March allegedly while he was trying to board a flight out of the country.
The Mercury says he's been charged over the alleged importation of 2-kilograms of drugs from GUADELOUPE and the attempted possession of more than 5-kilograms of another drug from Thailand.. with Flinders man RHYS WILLIAM DOHERTY named as one of two accomplices in the Thailand deal.
The Australian Federal Police case against the trio returns to Wollongong court in September.
