The rest of the Midnight Oil tour is in question after lead guitarist Jim Moginie injured himself on stage.
Last night (Wednesday) the Midnight Oil show in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl was cut short after Moginie tripped and fell whilst playing on stage.
Oils at Myer Music Bowl tonight. A killer concert. Poor Jim Moginie slipped at the end hurting himself and cutting short the encore. Hope he is ok (he’s a musical genius) #midnightoil @jimmoginie pic.twitter.com/iDe1B1kxm1— Marcus Zipper (@marcuszipper) November 8, 2017
He was taken off in an ambulance, and couldn't finish the show. The band still have four shows scheduled in their tour, including one at the WEC many Illawarrians have been looking forward to.
Midnight Oil terrific again but show cut short with Jim Moginie slipping over on stage, unable to return for encore. Hope not too serious ❤— Rosemary Walton (@rosewal) November 8, 2017
At the moment there is no confirmation about what will happen to the rest of the shows, and Wave FM will announce whether Moginie can continue on tour or whether they'll find a replacement.
