On Wednesday 17 May, the Wollongong Volunteering Expo is returning to the Wollongong Town Hall.
From 9.30am-2pm, you’re invited to drop-in and learn more about volunteering opportunities with 22 organisations that work to improve the lives of people in the Illawarra region.
Whether you’re keen to get your hands dirty caring for the city’s natural areas, help people learn a new skill, support people to live independently, or just want to do something good in your community, there’s a volunteering opportunity for everybody.
Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said that the event is being held during National Volunteer Week.
“This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week is ‘The Change Makers’ which recognises the transformative nature of volunteering.
