Wollongong City Council has advised that works can now continue on a new footpath along Towradgi Point, after Aboriginal cultural heritage items were identified.
Work was halted and temporary fencing installed, so that the appropriate next steps could be taken, this included applying for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit, said Council.
The works began back in 2021.
