Wollongong City Council is getting on with the job of extending the new seawall at North Beach.
Council advises that over the next four weeks, crews will start preliminary work on Stage two of the seawall, by installing ‘screw piles’ into the sand between the North Beach Bathers Pavilion, and the North Wollongong Surf Club.
The project is funded, under the NSW Government’s Coastal and Estuary Program, with Council receiving $3.9M, towards the construction of stage 2 of the project.
