Millions for Wollongong crisis and transitional housing

An Illawarra Shoalhaven group will receive over $4.6m, as part of government grants for new crisis and transitional housing.

Cunningham MP Alison Byrnes, said the Federal Government funding, for the Supported Accommodation and Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra, will help women and kids impacted by family and domestic violence, and older women, at risk of homelessness.

Ms. Byrnes said the local money has been allocated, to purchase, remodel, and expand six dwellings, in the Wollongong Local Government Area.
