Kiama Council has set it’s rates and annual charges for the 2023-24 financial year.
Council has increased rates by a net 4.2 per cent.
This is less than the rate peg of 5.1 per cent set by the NSW Government, to offset last year’s temporary additional special variation of 0.9 per cent.

The income provided by this rate rise is required to fund the services, work and activities outlined in Council’s Delivery Program and Operational Plan 2023-24.
The rise also considers the potential impact on ratepayers.
While there will be a rise in rates, other charges on the rates notice remain unchanged.
