Girls in state schools have won the right to wear shorts and pants in Victoria.
Girls are no longer allowed to be forced to wear skirts and dresses, with Education Minister James Merlino vowing shorts and trousers to be an option for girls in all schools.
Research shows that girls exercise less when wearing school dresses. The dresses and skirts limit movement for girls.
Earlier this month, WA did the same thing as VIC.
