Music Makers Concert
Sun 26 May 2019 12:12 pm to 12:12 pm
This year’s Music Makers Concert promises to be bigger and better than ever. Music Makers are celebrating growth and accomplishment with our 10th year show – this is a major achievement that I’m so proud of. The Music Makers started as a High School project and it’s now a weekly program of The Disability Trust with over 25 performers and a wait list of people wanting to join.
An evening for all of the family to enjoy from young to old and everything in between. Entertainment, support, dancing, laughter and of course fundraising- Silent Auctions, Raffle and a snack buffet on the night.
We still have one of our original Music Makers whom performed in the very first concert in 2010 as a current Music Maker.
The night sees the Music Makers staring in the concert, with support acts whom are local professional entertainers that donate their time to entertain the crowd whilst the Music Makers have a quick costume change after each of their routines.
The Music Makers who are a not for profit, volunteer ran performance group of The Disability Trust are putting on their 10th annual production The Creative Performance Evening by Those with a Disability Fundraising Concert. Now in its tenth year it has raised an amazing amount of over $120,000 for The Disability Trust which has helped provide sport and rec opportunities for children and adults with disabilities throughout the Illawarra and Shoalhaven as well as continued to provide performance opportunities for The Music Makers to access performances throughout the year around the Illawarra and Sydney regions.
Last year, just to name a couple the Music Makers performed at St George V Tigers Game in Kogarah as well as a Illawarra Hawks game, it was a massive highlight and an incredible opportunity.
The Music Makers Concert is on Friday 17 May at City Diggers - tickets can be purchased online via https://musicmakers2019.eventbrite.com.au – tickets are not assigned seating, people can chose their seat as they arrive when doors open at 6:15pm. Tickets are limited however.
