It’s that time of year again and the 2022 ARIA awards nominees have been revealed and are headlines by Australian electronic group Rüfüs Du Sol with 7 nominations while Amyl and The Sniffers and Flume have received 6 nominations each as well as Baker Boy, Vance Joy and The Kid LAROI who have picked up 5 each.

Turning the nominations into wins would cap off a massive year for Rüfüs Du Sol who have headlined a series of concerts and festivals around the U.S. sporting their most recent album Surrender which they recorded during lockdown on the west coast of the U.S.

The other band that you may not have heard much about is Amyl and The Sniffers who are an Australian pub rock and punk band from Melbourne, who are made up of vocalist Amy Taylor, drummer Bryce Wilson, guitarist Dec Martens, and bassist Fergus Romer. They are no stranger to the ARIA awards, already taking out the Best Rock Album category in 2019 for their self-titled debut record.

The likes of popular performers like Flume, Baker Boy, Vance Joy and The Kid LAROI are no strangers either to the awards night already having some of those pointed trophies of their own.

Other big name Australian bands that have various nominations are the likes of Gang Of Youths, Midnight Oil, Vanessa Amorosi, Ball Park Music, Missy Higgins and even The Wiggles.

The full list of nominations are below:
