The chief executive of BlueScope Mark Vassella has called time on the top job, announcing his retirement from the Port Kembla steelmaker.
As of 2026 Tania Archibald, who’s currently CEO of the company’s Australian steel products business, will take the reins.
BlueScope said the search for Vassella’s replacement was thorough and wide reaching, with Archibald soon to be in charge of more than 3,000 workers in the Illawarra.
