Shark Bites Man's Bum

KillaleaSurfReserveRG.JPG

A lucky escape for a Spanish tourist in Shellharbour overnight.

At around 6.30 Gonzalo Mompo Fernandez  had been body-boarding in the surf at The Farm in the Killalea State Park, when a shark attacked him.

A witness says it came up behind him and tried to grab hold of him on the bottom.

They say it came at him a couple of times, but Mr Fernandez managed to fend it off and make it back to the beach.

He suffered a few puncture wounds to his backside, but nothing serious.. and one great story to tell.
