This week's NRL is all about wearing a Beanie for Cancer

Nothing this is something amazing, in a first for the NRL, Channel NINE has teamed up with the NRL for the Beanie for Cancer Round that kicks off tonight (Thursday May 18) with the Sharks vs Cowboys match.

One person who is passionate about both NRL and the cause is Mark Hughes Foundation ambassador and former Newcastle Knights premiership-winning captain, Paul “The Chief” Harragon, and he spoke to Mel & Trav this morning about this very special Beanie for Brain Cancer round.

Please get behind this great cause and buy your beanies at the following games in NRL Round 11:

Cronulla Sharks v North Queensland Cowboys- Thursday 18 May- Southern Cross Group Stadium

Brisbane Broncos v Wests Tigers- Friday 19 May- Suncorp Stadium

Parramatta Eels v Canberra Raiders- Saturday 20 May- ANZ Stadium

Canterbury Bulldogs v Sydney Roosters- Sunday 21 May- ANZ Stadium

Newcastle Knights v Penrith Panthers- Sunday 21 May- McDonald Jones Stadium

Since this is pure gold what both NINE and the NRL are doing... here is Paul “The Chief” Harragon with a song he released a while back called "That's Gold"
