Carbon tax to hit tuck-shops

tuck-shop Illawarra school tuck-shops may get an unexpected hit from the carbon tax.

Some Sydney school canteens are warning  they may have to increase their prices by ten-percent to pay for their power bills.

It comes as they start to receive their first bills since the introduction of the carbon tax.

News Limited reports one power bill for a Sydney school showed a carbon charge of almost 450-dollars listed separately on an account, totaling more than six-thousand dollars.
